Don’t judge yourselves on exam results. Judge yourself on the quality of your character. Judge yourself on your resilience, how you’re going to pick yourself up and keep moving forwards. Exams don’t always reflect intelligence they don’t reflect creativity, curiosity, wisdom, bravery, perseverance, honesty, love, kindness, social skills, communication skills, team work, leadership skills, humility, gratitude, humour or hope. among many other things. You are so much more than a letter on a piece of paper.

Oh funny thing with a student today, they were talking about the origin of words like queer and gay, so one boy was like gay means happy, I’m gay we’re all gay, then he said to me I’m as gay as you, then in sync me and a couple of other students said errrrrrr probably not. Then we all just cracked up laughing.

I Wish i had a magic wand that i could use to help the students fix their problems.  It’s so difficult when they’re pouring out their heart to you and crying and there’s not a lot you can do to help.  So heartbreaking.

That time when Raven actually said what most of us want to say to a teacher who picks you for the answer when you clearly don’t know it, for usually no other reason than to embarrass you and make you look stupid. One of the main things I hate and always will hate about school.

This pisses me off! Kids moaning about school and teachers and homework on Tumblr pisses me off! Teachers ask everyone questions if you never put your hand up or answer a question how the fuck are you learning!? sometimes people are too shy to put their hands up so teachers prompt them for an answer, even if you don’t know the answer you’re in a ‘Learning environment’ you’re not expected to know everything!

Awkward conversation with the kids today about whether it’s ok to say someones queer and because you know one person that’s not offended by being called a faggot it’s ok to call anyone whos gay a faggot. I made a wise decision to stay out of the conversation.

I’m Sure i wasn’t that rude when i was 12/13. Actually unbelievable.

Writing about ‘A Christmas Carol’ feeling like i’m 14 again doing my GCSE’s.
